Snow Day!

Jon and Nicole here, coming to you from our first official SNOW DAY in Seattle! Yesterday, almost all schools were closed and there wasn't even a flake of snow in the sky, but the warnings were worthy today! We woke up to freezing rain pelting our bathroom skylight, and soon after the snow began to fall. There's probably only a few inches, but ice underneath no doubt. Jon takes two major highways to work, one is closed, and the other is at a standstill. Everyone is abandoning their cars in the middle of the road! We're both staying at home. Jon never did figure out a way to get to work. I probably can make it up the hill to church eventually this afternoon. I have SO much to do! We've enjoyed lounging in bed, a french toast breakfast, working on Christmas cards, laundry, and making a pot of chili for dinner tonight so far today.

Jon insisting that I don't help him with the laundry. I have the best husband EVER!

Looks like more snow/ice/freezing rain for Saturday night and Sunday, which I am sure will make for a dramatic and stressful Sunday School Christmas program performance, which is scheduled for 11am Sunday morning. If you want to meet a state full of people that have no clue how to handle winter weather, move to Washington!

Yes. Those are people sledding in the STREET, just a block from our house.
