How It All Began

The VERY early days during a trip to Greenfield Village with The Christensen's.

In December of 2006, Nicole was asked to attend "The Gathering", a Christian youth event, as a chaperone with her childhood church, Christ Lutheran of Monroe, MI. There she met Dan Lebeck, master matchmaker, new member of the church and fellow chaperone, who asked if he could set her up with a friend of his from work. Jon and Dan were both employed by Nissan in Farmington Hills. On Saturday, January 7, Jon picked Nicole up at her apartment for their first date at Fishbones restaurant in St. Clair Shores, MI, followed by coffee at Starbucks. It was not quite love at first sight and who knows why Jon agreed to let Dan set him up again after several previous attempts had failed, but things progressed quickly, and they are so glad they did!
